We do not have agents or extensions in this league. Instead, once a player's contract is up, you have the option to franchise him or let him walk. By franchising him, you get to keep the player for one more year, at a salary based on his performance from last year. You only get one franchise tag though. If you let a player walk, he will go to free agency, and all teams have a chance to big on him. The team with the largest bid then wins him.
